Incompetence
by Vlad

Every basketball fan knows that NBA refs are about as corrupt as the Russian government or the New Jersey Nets owner. All they ever do is gamble, be fat, and ruin games. It's horrible, but true. Two nights ago, bad officiating ruined one of my most anticipated match-ups of the year: the Suns vs. the Cavs. Those out-of-shape idiots cost Phoenix the game! Don't get confused. They called everything in favor of the Suns. So much so, that, following an INSANE traveling call halfway through the last quarter (apparently these refs had never seen a 'jump stop' before), LeBron got angry and tore the Suns a new one (or many new ones... I'm really not sure how to use that expression when discussing a group). I 'called it' while watching the game, because I'm really good at 'calling' things that are obvious to everyone. As soon as one of the fat people called the traveling violation, I said that LeBron would explode, and he totally did. Every subsequent play, The King did something amazing. The whole thing was bullshit, because, if the game was fair, he would have been calm, and the Suns would have had a chance! Why couldn't the game stay close and exciting 'til the end? Why did the Cavs suddenly go up by 20? Why didn't the Suns win the 2007 championship? Shitty/corrupt fat refs are why. I hope they all get fired.

By the way, the Chicago Bulls are ASS. How the heck could they allow the Kings to come back from a 35 point deficit? It's not like any of these 'Kings' are 'The King'... those guys blow goats! Tyreke Evans is pretty brilliant, but he's a rookie. A rookie shouldn't be able to decimate a team of veterans who have a 35 point head-start. That's mind-boggling. My mind has been thoroughly boggled.

Speaking of Evans, Frank Hughes wrote about him in his latest edition of NBA.com's Race to the MVP. Check out this paragraph and try to make sense of it:

Milwaukee's Brandon Jennings has gotten most of the publicity regarding rookies thus far, mostly because of his 55-point breakout game early on. But Jennings, while talented, has been every bit his equal. He's had some inconsistencies. But hes still averaging his 20, five and five, even without Kings leading scorer Kevin Martin, who has missed most of the season with an injury.

Seeing as the third and fourth sentences are seemingly supposed to be about Evans (since Jennings doesn't play for the Kings), did Hughes mean to write 'Evans' instead of 'Jennings' in the second sentence? If so, why did he write "while talented"? Aren't the third and fourth sentences supposed to be one compound sentence?... This is some seriously horrible writing. How is this clown being paid to write for NBA.com, while I'm stuck writing for this pathetic, zero-profit site? I know what some of you are thinking: 'He may have accidentally not proof-read that one particular paragraph.' Well, check out the sentence that follows:

Evansmay not yet be front of mind when it comes to the MVP discussion, but he certainly should garner a mention.

Wow. Boggled my mind is more.

What happened to Rob Peterson (the person who used to write the 'Race to the MVP' section)? That guy might've sucked greasy gorilla balls, but at least he edited his terrible writing. Peterson also sent us an email after my brother pointed out how bad he was at his job. Here it is:

Dmitry --

Loved feelin' that burn from that flame job yesterday.

Thanks for reading.

Rob

That was pretty nice of him, I guess. Frank Hughes would never do that, though. You want to know why? Because, if he tried, we would get an email that looks something like this:

Vlad-

Lovefeeling burn from flame job. And thanks.

Frank

... I hope he gets fired.

In other news, Tracy McGrady came back this week, but nobody gives a shit.
